Admission policy
-
Children can attend the nursery at baby tigers from 18 months old until they reach funded nursery age at 3.5.
-
Children can attend the nursery at big tigers from the term after their 3rd birthday.
-
Registration forms will be accepted at any time during the year, however, we do advise that you book a place as early as possible as places fill up very quickly
-
Your child’s name will be added to the waiting list after we have received the completed registration form and deposit. Places will be allocated to children on the list in order.
-
If the sessions requested are not available, alternative sessions will be offered or you can be added to the waiting list.
We recommend children attend for a minimum of two sessions in baby tigers (1 per day) this helps the child to settle quicker and develop a routine.

How do you register your child?
Complete a registration form and contract and return them with the registration fee to staff as soon as possible. These forms are extremely important, as they enable staff to collect as much information about your child/ren as possible to be able to provide the best possible care.

Arrival and collection procedures
For the morning session children should arrive between 9am - 9.10am and must be collected at 11.30am (unless attending lunch club). For the afternoon sessions children should arrive between 12.30pm -12.40pm.
On arrival, you should bring your child into the nursery and encourage them to find their name card and hand it to the play practitioner on the door. A member of staff will undertake a written register. At the end of each session the main door will be opened to allow you to come in and collect your child and his/her belongings. Your child’s name card should be handed to the member of staff up on exit.
You will be asked to provide details of who will collect your child from the nursery each day. If someone different from usual will be collecting your child, you must inform staff. You will be asked to give details of the person collecting and provide a password and ensure the other person is aware of this. This is for the security of your child.

If your child becomes unwell during a session you will be contacted immediately to come and collect him/her, this ensures that we are able to minimize the spread of infections.
If your child has an accident during a session, the situation will be assessed by the settings First Aider and relevant action taken. You will be contacted and an accident form will be completed.

Settling your child into nursery
-
You are welcome to bring your child for visits before his/her official start date, however you will be required to stay.
-
Arriving at the same time as other children should help your child to settle more easily.
-
Please do not send your child to nursery in his/her ‘Sunday best’ – the arts and craft sessions and outdoor play can be messy. We do have spare clothes available in case of accidents however these are limited.
-
Staff are always available to help your child settle and enjoy the group.

Above all your child will have fun whilst learning in a safe and secure environment with caring and enthusiastic staff :)
